Ready for an adventure that will help lift a child from a life of poverty?
An estimated 100 million Dalit ("Untouchable") children live trapped in a world of extreme poverty in the nation of India. These children are destined from birth for a life of illiteracy, sickness and hunger with little hope of breaking the poverty cycle. You can help change that.
Welcome to Melbourne's Moonwalk!
Go the Extra Mile's Moonwalk is a new all night 45km endurance walking event. You will be walking under a star filled moonlit sky, following well worn trails that wind their way through the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, starting and finishing at the Skyhigh Restaurant located on Mount Dandenong itself. Your walking course will take in some breathtaking night vistas overlooking the night cityscape of Melbourne and the moonlit Warburton ranges.
On your morning return to the Skyhigh Restaurant, you will be greeted with both hot and cold breakfast selections (including juices & bottomless tea & coffee) with your feet up, relaxing and taking in the view over a waking Melbourne city.
The walk is aimed at raising funds for Gospel for Asia's Bridge of Hope centres where currently more than 58,000 of India's Dalit children currently receive food, clothing, health services and an education at these centres. Our goal is to see that number grow to 500,000.
Be a part of an amazing
experience and walk with your family and friends
to help India's most maligned and needy children.
It's time to Go the Extra Mile on Melbourne's Moonwalk!
