100% of all fundraising goes to the Dalit children
Nearly every operating charity has a line in its budget devoted to fundraising costs - or costs incurred for raising more money. This will typically include things like employee salaries, advertising, media production, building rentals & car leases - essentially every cost that is incurred while trying to do fundraising.Charities work very hard to keep their administration costs down - and the percentage of your donated dollar that is reported as going to 'cost of fundraising' can literally make or break a charity's reputation. Generally most charities will operate around the 15-20% cost of fundraising figure. This means that out of every dollar that you contribute, between 15-20 cents is used to pay the bills.
A peculiar workforce
Gospel for Asia (GFA) has a unique financial structure which serves to separate it from the way that many other charities operate. In essence, the main administrative and fundraising centres of Gospel for Asia are staffed by a self-funded volunteer workforce.Simply put, these folks are supported financially by family and friends who believe in the work they are doing at GFA. Those workers who are paid staff, receive their wages from a specially segregated fund pool. This money comes from donors who have given money into this 'administration' pool knowing that it will be used for that purpose and not for programs or projects. Other administrative costs also are drawn against this pool. This effectively means that every dollar donated for the many operations of Gospel for Asia including the Bridge of Hope centres, is used in full for that program.
